So as of lately I’ve been playing a lot of Doom Dark Ages as well as the new remaster of Heretic + Hexen collection and it makes me really want a new modern Hexen/Heretic in the style of Doom Dark Ages

Doom Dark Ages I believe does a good job laying the ground work for a future Heretic/Hexen. Imagine a Heretic/Hexen that is like a reskin of Dark Ages. It would look so good with the big open environments acting as a hub as your travel from level to level while ripping and tearing but with magic and melee weapons. They can still keep the class feature like Hexen as well.

hd or normal? do they have the same content and are there any differences?

What are some retro FPS games similar to Blood’s Death Wish and Ashes 2063 (and notables like Thief, Ion Fury, Duke Nukem’s AMC)?

the controls are awkward and floaty, the aiming is weird, the levels and enemies feel unbalanced, everything feels off. the interesting artstyle doesn’t save it.

anyone know it the sequel is any better? it’s a shame because the concept behind it is quite interesting 🤷

Are there any good coop boomer shooters? Playing ultrakill coop would go crazy.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a mod for it. Preferably native multiplayer/coop, unless the mods work really well.

In anticipation of Blood: Refreshed Supply, I’ve been enjoying my No.1 comfort game, Blood: Fresh Supply.

I know it’s not 100% accurate to the original Blood, but it’s so goddamn good I play it several times a week.There’s something so satisfying about BUILD engine games; the speed, the explosions, the beautiful sprites, the game feel, just wow.

When ID was cranking out Quake, and making fully realised polygonal levels, DUKE3D used inferior tech to make a much more realised world.

There was functional pool tables, explosive walls, working light switches & toilets, strippers, blood, gore, funny quips, steroids, humour, & tits. I was 9 years old and it changed my life forever.

It just felt amazing, and that’s why BUILD will always be superior to IDtech1. Also, slanted floors.

However, after getting my fill of BLOOD, I went back to enjoy the other 2 games on the pedestal; Duke 3D world tour & Shadow Warrior classic Redux. My god, these ports fucking suck. They feel and play like shit. I thought I was in for a treat after enjoying KEX Blood so much, but the gamefeel, FOV, button mapping, just feels so off.

I feel that NIGHTDIVE, can do no wrong. If I had to describe Nightdive, it would be: THEY CARE.

I figure a Shadow Warrior KEX port will be on the cards, but a DUKE3D port?
